3D Shapes

Walt: Identify the properties of 3D shapes


Task Description:
This week we did more 3D shapes. But instead of making them with clay, we made them with Pipe Cleaner's and Straw's. I found it wildly fun and even made my own BIG glasses.

Maori Phrases

Walt: Use & respond to formal & informal greetings


Task Description:
This week we learnt more maori words and used them, in your day-to-day you use many phrases here are some in maori. We even had to make a video, recording ourselves saying each phrase.

Task Description:
This week we did a recap of 3D shapes except this time we used playdo or hardened clay to createsimple shapes like the sphere the cube the pyramid and much more. We even got to create our own.

Walt: Learn about stereotypes


Task Description:
This week we learnt about stereotypes. We watched a video of Joshua Iosefo telling his stereotype poem. Then we had to explain what we learnt from the video.

Task Description:
This week we had to group the word's together by making use of clause's we had to identify the clause in each sentence.

Walt: Group basic 2D shapes based on their properties


Task Description:
This week we learnt how to group different angles of a triangle and used special names based on their angles.

Walt: Taking care of our wellbeing


Task Description:
This week we followed kid president through his speech of 20 things we should say more often. Our teachers told us to follow in his footsteps but only say 3 things we should say more often.

Problamo Solving

Task Description:
This week we had to solve problems involving factors, squares and other complicated ways. Even though it was meant to be hard I found it really easy. On the very last question I somehow got confused on how to solve 2 x 3. But in the end everyone was hysterically laughing so it's fine.

Inside Earth 3

Walt: Effectively present specific info


Task Description:
This week we learnt more about the inside of the earth. We had to pick a layer of the earth, I chose the crust and followed my teacher's instruction's. Her demands were to 1st create a diagram of our chosen layer, number 2 was to record ourself explaining what we know about our layer, lastly we wrote an explanation of the crust.

Task Description:
This week we had to find and sort the graphs in the right order while also giving the 4 people the right graphs. For Batman I didn't give him a graph because Christian Bale is simply the best. After that I created a Pie graph to describe what everyone's favourite donut flavours were.

Inside Earth 2

Walt: Take effective notes


Task Description:
This week we had to read a topic and organize it into notes and bulletpoints. I also had a partner to work with, we both read the description and sorted it into word groups, notes and bulletpoints, my partner was Tha Zin and our descriptions were Radioactive Elements and the Earth's Magnetic Field.
