Task Description:

This week we hosted a Kiwi Kids news read off! We had to find articles on the website Kiwi Kids news and answer questions about them.

Kiwiana Drawing - Extension

Walt: Create an image including kiwiana 

Task Description:

This term, the extension class created images representing Kiwiana. Each individual drew their own. Here's mine! As you can see I have a Campervan, Fish n Chips, Pukeko, L&P Cans, Poppy's, The NZ Flag, Beautiful views, Cool Beaches, And a Pounamu around the mans neck!

Task Description:

This week we learnt about places in maori and how to say where someone is. We also created a poster explaining 3 places in NZ but they are translted in maori.

Cinquain (sin-cane)

Task Description:

This week we wrote a Cinquain, or correctly pronounced (sin-cane), my Cinquain is about my experience of fireworks!

Solubility

Walt: Make accurate measurements using a variety of measuring equipment

This week we learnt a bit of science while learning maths. Our focus this week was on measurements.

The Great Ordinary

Walt: Skim & scan a text for key info

Task Description:

This week we learnt about a famous photographer named Edith Amituanai. We studied her work and were very  interested in the photos she took. We also created our own document of photagraphs about ourselves.

Task Description:

This week we had to research and answer questions related to the very famous artist Piet Mondrian's background.

What's In The Bag - Probability

Walt: Find the probability of pulling a brown cube from the bag

Task Description:

This week we played a game of probability, We rotated desks and used cubes to guess the number of different coloured cubess there are hidden in the tote tray. Without looking we'd pick randomly from the tote trays 8 times, seeing the amount of oloured cubes there might be.

Statistics & Probablity

Walt: Interpret & draw conclusions from a range of graphs

Task Description:

This week we focused on statistics and probability. We played a game using an online coin flipper, I found itvery amusing.

Blog Commenting

This week we had to create a poster explaining helpful tips when you post a blog comment.

Chance & Probability

Task Description:

This week we recapped on probability. We had to find the chance between several problems.
