Travelling to Kaiteriteri PART 2!

...We were heading to the South Island!

Every time, we would always stop at Rodney’s and Kirsten's house in Wellington for a little rest.

The next morning, we always played in Harry’s room. Harry is Rodney and Kirsten’s son. He is pretty crack up and sometimes, he is serious, well sometimes. Whenever we go to Harry’s house we played a cool shooting car game - it is appropriate by the way.

We cross on the ferry at 2am in the morning from Wellington to Picton, South Island!

So the next morning we are back in the car and like after 3 or 2 hours, we're finally on the ferry.
We always go on the Bluebridge ferry. While we were on the boat there was a beautiful view and after like 2 hours we’re finally at the South Island! When we were in the car and we kept on stopping and heading on, like we always.

Finally we’re at Kaiteriteri! We were 2nd out of everyone! While we were setting up the tents some more friends arrived, and helped us. Well when everyone arrived we were all were like saying hi of course and stuff. There were 2 new kids the younger one’s name was Zion. The oldest was Ausdan and he loved playing games.

While I was sitting in the tent, I was playing rat-a-tat-cat which was a card game. It is very fun. Afterwards I went into my mum and dad’s tent and watched some movies on my ipod nano. I was watching the "A Team". It is a very cool and funny movie. One of my favourite parts was taken from Braveheart where Murdock says [in a Scottish accent] "What would you give for one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!!!!!!"

After watching the A Team it was dinner time and we always had delicious food. Well after eating, Jonte my cousin and Noah my brother came back and said we're going eel hunting and I said “Can I come?" and they said “Yes”.
Then we went and we saw some other people when they caught one then they put it just on the ground it was like a snake, a tiny snake. Uncle Paul stabbed it and then put it back in the pond.

The next morning Uncle Paul said "Who wants to go fishing?" and he always picked the same people. It was Jordan ,Jonte and Noah and they took ages just to come back but then we had to go tramping!

Traveling to Kaiteriteri PART 1

While we were packing, my family was getting ready for a holiday at Kaiteriteri. We were all packed and not ready to go, so we stayed up and worked. When my family and I were ready, we were told to go straight to bed, because we were leaving first thing in the morning. Today it was the 26th of December. On the 27th we were leaving so when I woke up, our family gathered at the table and prayed. Every time we travel we’d first pray to keep us safe while we're driving.

When we were driving, Noah was sleeping but everyone else was awake.
This might be a little sad for you but it was crackup for us. My mum was driving at night time and all these bugs are hitting the windscreen but then my mum turns and she recognised that she ran over a whole family of ducks crossing the road - even the baby ones!!!!
All of us were cracking up because we thought it was funny, But my mum thought that it was sad.
Then jordan says “Mum, you're going to the dark side”, then Levi said “Mum you're going to the dark side” and I said “Mum you're going to the DUCK side”.

So, we’re still in the car, in Ohakune (which is near the snow mountain) and we’re all awake, including Noah. Then we stop at a motel when we’re all inside, Dad said to go look for the opossum in the tree. It was staring straight at us, but then we headed back and went to bed.

The next morning while we’re in the car we take a few stops and have a drink and some food.
When we came past an army museum in Waiouru, everyone says “woooooooooh!”
Everyone looked to the left, and outside the museum were some real tanks!!!!!!! and real guns!!!!!!! Mum said that we should check it out and then we all go to one tank and on it, it said ,that it could squash a person.
[if you look at the photos you will see us on the tank.]

It would take us 8 hours just to get to the ferry from Auckland. By the way, we were heading to the South Island.

Tune in and check out what happens next… Travelling to Kaiteriteri PART 2!

Kaiteriteri

Last year on an exciting trip we went to Kaiteriteri. We were staying at Kaiteri for two weeks. We were also staying to tramp it took us a long time. Then we went on a boat. It was cold. We travled there from day to night. It also took us two days and 3 hours to get there. Anyhoo, in the morning we had to drive again but as soon as posible we saw a sign and the sign said Kaiteri so when we found our spot to setup.

Here are some pictures that I drew:
