This week we had to study Hinewehi Mohi, who sung New Zealands national anthem in Te Reo Maori 21 years ago. And was hated by many people.

This week we learnt about another maori myth. This weeks myth was Rata & the totara tree. I had to read texts and break them into word groups.

This week we had a very interesting text to read. The Million Pound Bank Note. We had to anylise the story and answer the question, What would you do if you found a large sum of money? This is a VERY good read.

This week we had to reead a story abouta man named Henry and his story which turns CRAZY through the middle. We had to anylise the story and explain who he was and what happened. This is only part one. This is a VERY good read.

Scandalous Satire

Walt: Think critically about what we are reading


Task Description:
This week we had to read texts from news articles and research if the article was real or fake. We found out how to decide whether a post was fake or not by researching on the web and even reading it to see if it sounded real or ridiculous.

Here are three things we used to spot the crime:

1. Researching the headline online to see if any ligit sites also had the same article.
2. Also Just reading the headline and article was easy to tell if they were real or not.
3. our BRAINS!

This week we studied protest in NZ in the last 100-200 years. We found two protests, one the Parihaka protest and the Woman's Suffrage Petition.

Intro To Narratives

Walt: Follow the structure of a narrative


Task Description:
This week we learnt how to properly write narratives and even understand them by use of a story mountain, I found the story mountain  easy to understand and I know recognise it as a great tool for writing narratives.

Word Clause's

Walt: Describe the purpose of a clause


Task Description:
This week we had to group the word's together by making use of clause's we had to identify the clause in each sentence.
