Walt: Identify & summarise key info in a text


Task Description:
This week for reading we studied the inside of the earth. I was completely hooked into it. We had to watch video's and break the transcript into word groups. This is definitely a great and fun topic to study.

My PENN Creativity

Task Description:

This week me and my family were asked to record ourselves saying a script for our School News Network - PENN. I had to learn the script off by heart and say it in front of a camera, everyday the script would change slightly but everyday I'd bring a new sense of enthusiasm. My job was Sports I recorded myself saying the updates of sports and what we should be doing in the holidays. Check out my best video of the week. P.S Please watch till' end. It's worth it.

Task Description:
This week we had to solve complicated line graphs and make our own! We attempted our best to complete this slideshow and these are our results. I found it hard but learnt a lot.

A Sneaker That Fixes Itself?

Walt: Identify word groups in a text


Task Description:
This week we read an article about a sneaker that can repair itself. We used this text for a learning lesson and were told to organise the first 6 paragraphs into word groups and record ourselves reading the article.

Futuristic Sketch

Walt: Form & Communicate Ideas


Task Description:
This week we were asked to create our own ideas on a futuristic invention. Our instructions were to draw a sketch of our idea and post it with a description. I love my idea.

Life In Space

Walt: Skim & scan for key information


Task Description:
This week we learnt lots about other habitable planets and about our own. I learnt that there's a new discovered planet named Proxima-B. We also explained a phrase in our own words and with our best understanding. We also made 4 key facts from the two texts.

The Future

Walt: Craft well-written sentences


Task Description:
This week we explored the future through a video by Samsung. It explained to us what they'd want life to be like in the far future. They expected Smartphones and SmartHouses. I imagine advanced tech and lots of pollution.
We also wrote a dictation that our teacher read for us. We got to also write three things that we'd want to be in the future. I found this completely interesting.
